The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service on Vis island
In organization by the Mountain Association "Hum" from Vis, last weekend was a GSS course on which attended 10 members of the mountaineering society. The employees of the travel agency "Alternatura" also have joined to refresh the knowledge acquired in training of GSS for adventure agencies held 2006th year. The reason for attending was the integration into the security system to provide rescue and first aid for injured people. Lecture in the city library was very interesting and educational. We've looked at a variety of shots during the rescue of injured from various parts of the Republic Croatia. In two days of lectures, we saw the techniques of immobilization, first aid and how to access to the injured people as well as the activities and organization of the Mountain Rescue Service.
