3 day Itinerary

DAY 1. Arrival

Transfer from Vis harbour to Komiža, arrival to the private accommodation, welcome drink, meeting the tour guides, program presentation and detailed arrangements. Dinner

DAY 2. Queen’s Cave- caving and hiking

After breakfast departure by van to the Okjucina village, the most hidden village on the northwest side of the island of Vis. After 45 minutes hiking through the greenest part of the island we will arrive to the Queen’s Cave, karst cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites.Cave is located on the vertical cliff 70 m above the sea. The cave consists of five caverns and the passages that connect them, with a total length of 60 m. The name Queen’s cave is connected to the Illyrian Queen Teuta who ruled in the 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Archaeological excavation took place in the cave on two occasions, but it has never been excavated completely. The results show that the cave was temporarily inhabited during the late Stone Age ( Neolithic), and much more frequently during the Bronze age, particularly in the early phases. The beauty of the cave is a precious geological and archaeological jewel of the island of Vis. Lunch in agrotourism. Back to Komiza in the early evening hours.

DAY 3. Rock climbing and abseiling/ Tito’s cave and highest peak visit

After breakfast van will take us to Red rocks. Red rocks are above town of Komiža. On the way we will enjoy the panorama of the town Komiza and after just 15-minutes we arrive to the rock. The rocks are marked with 13 climbing routes. Climbing is suitable for beginners as for experienced climbers. We start with basic instructions about equipment and rock climbing before you get opportunity to climb your first route. When you are finished with climbing guide will take you in the tunnel which is inside the Red rocks. We will climb up through the tunnel, first exit is after 30 meters where we will do abseiling. Abseiling is fun and an exciting activity. It is also an essential skill to enable the rock climber to descend from a rock. We start with basic instructions about equipment and abseiling before you get opportunity to abseil. After this adventure full of adrenaline, we will visit Tito’s cave and highest peak of the island. Van will take us through the inland to the port of Vis. Departure
