Walk along the footsteps of ancient Illyrian tribes, climb to the highest top of the island, enjoy the view over vineyards and olive groves, feel the opulence of herbs and taste unique island products. With multiactivities such as rock climbing and abseiling, kayaking, caving and  hiking you  will experience the unforgettable adventure of Vis island.

The island of Vis is the last example of unspoilt Mediterranean coastline. On Vis, the lifestyle, culture and wildlife once shared by the rest of the Mediterranean has been preserved by historical accident. The World Wide Fund for Nature has declared that Vis is one of the last jewels of the Mediterranean and they want to protect the island from mass tourism.

INFO: Every activity is guided professional. Rock climbing/abseiling   previous experience not required. Sit on top “Dag Lagoon 2” kayaks for two, with a barrel as dry container for your possessions. Prior experience in rowing is not a requirement; age limit for children is 11. Caving and hiking- bring good shoes for hiking

Our tourist agency has got a speed boat and van which guarantees additional security during the programme.

Sample 8 day Itinerary

Each day is planned the evening before, giving you the ultimate flexibility to enjoy activities in the very best conditions. You will be the  part of the  group of 10 people maximum and we are not restricted to the normal schedules,  we can be flexible according to your wishes.

DAY 1. – Arrival

Transfer from Vis harbour to Komiža, arrival to the private accommodation, welcome drink,  program presentation and detailed arrangements.Dinner

DAY 2. – Kayaking south part of Vis island /Green cave /Stiniva bay

After breakfast transfer by van to Rukavac bay on the southern side of the island. We will start from this bay towards the Green Cave which is located on the side of the island of Ravnik facing the open sea. The cave is characteristic for a visible green light beam coming from the opening on its top and breaking in the sea. The cave has two entrances similar to portals and is very spacious. Upon entering you will see the lively green pillar. After visiting the Green Cave we will row to the bay of Stiniva – the most attractive bay on the island of Vis. We will reach it through a narrow passage and discover its real beauty. As if enclosed by powerful tall rocks, where age-old pine trees stand as guards, there is only the beach and a couple of small fishermen’s houses wrapped in a world of their own. Light lunch, swimming. After the break we will paddle back to Rukavac. Return to Komiža. Dinner

DAY 3. – Hiking – explore the inland of Vis island

After breakfast the van will take us to Hum peak (587m) where we will have a great panoramic view of the nearby islands. We will start our walk with a visit to Tito’s cave (visit to cave and short break). Then we will continue to Žena Glava village with a short walk towards Zlatna strana hill (Gold side). We will stop for a short while and admire the vineyards and the greenery. After a walk around the vineyards we will continue for further 4 km to the village of Plisko Polje. We will see the RAF airport, which used to be active during WW II, and used by the elite British airforce. We will hear the story of the cricket on the island of Vis and visit the existing cricket ground.Tasting of local products and light snack  is planned in the village house hold. Possibility of afternoon swimming  in Stoncica (sandy beach).Dinner

DAY 4. – The island of Biševo – Blue cave, Mezzoporat bay/Poje village/Porat bay

Breakfast. We will start from Komiža and take the speedboat to the island of Biševo (15 min). We will arrive to Mezzoporat bay and there we will take small boats to visit the Blue Cave. Afterwards we will take a walk along Biševo plateau (2km slightly up the hill) to the village of Poje, where we will visit the church of St. Silvestre, hear about the island’s history and head towards the old school. We will descend to Porat bay (1km slightly down the hill), a sandy beach on the west side of the island facing the open sea. We will have time for swimming in this gorgeous sandy bay, playing some ball games (picigin) and when we get hungry, our host Jakša, the owner of a small beach restaurant, will prepare lunch. We will return to Komiža by speed boat in the afternoon. Dinner

DAY 5. – Queen’s Cave- caving and hiking

After breakfast departure by van to the  Okjucina village, the most hidden village on the northwest side of the island of Vis. After 45 minutes  hiking  through the greenest part of the island we will arrive  to the Queen’s Cave,  karst cave filled with  stalactites and stalagmites.Cave is located on the vertical cliff 70 m above the sea. The cave consists of  five caverns and the passages that connect them, with a total length of 60 m. The name Queen’s  cave is connected to the  Illyrian Queen Teuta who ruled in the 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Archaeological excavation took place in the cave on two occasions, but it has never been excavated completely. The results show that the cave was temporarily inhabited during the late Stone Age ( Neolithic), and much more frequently during the Bronze age, particularly in the early phases. The beauty of the cave  is a precious  geological and archaeological jewel  of the island of Vis. Lunch in agrotourism. Back to Komiza in the early evening hours. Dinner

DAY 6. – Rock climbing and abseiling

After breakfast van will take us to Red rocks. Red rocks are above town of Komiža. On the way we will enjoy the panorama of the town Komiza and after just 15-minutes  we arrive to the rock. The rocks are marked with 13 climbing routes. Climbing is suitable for beginners as for experienced climbers. We start with basic instructions about equipment and rock climbing before you get opportunity to climb your first route. When you are finished with climbing guide will take you in the tunnel which is inside the Red rocks. We will climb up 30 feet through the tunnel, first exit is after 30 meters  where we will do abseiling. Abseiling  is fun and  an exciting activity. It is also an essential skill to enable the rock climber to descend from a rock. We start with basic instructions about equipment and abseiling before you get opportunity to abseil. After this adventure you can  enjoy the  swimming  and snorkeling on the one of numerous beaches near Komiza, lunch packet.. Dinner

DAY 7. – Relax day

Today we will take slow, after breakfast you can have a swim, read your favourite book explore the things that you haven’t seen  on the island yet.Our van is on disposal, we can take you wherever you like to go. Enjoy your free afternoon!Dinner

DAY 8. – Departure
